The Computer and Information Technology program prepares students for careers in information technology, computer networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and technical management. Course work provides a solid foundation in the fundamentals of information technology and advanced work on working on the Internet and client-server information systems. As part of the Microsoft Academic Alliance and Red Hat Academy, all students gain in-depth experience in configuring and maintaining network operating systems and server applications. As part of the Cisco Networking Academy, students gain in-depth knowledge of inter-network technology and experience hands-on with Cisco routers and switches.

Students are required to complete an internship and complete a two-semester career synthesis project, two areas that will only help you compete for most IT positions. In addition, students have the potential to obtain up to seven professional certifications that will give new impetus to the job market.

The Computer and Information Technology program offers a wide range of experiences within and outside of technology fields that prepare you to work in the field.
